Charlotte Loraine Pohlman Robinson, 76, of Grants Pass, OR passed away Sunday, November 30, 2008 following complications from a 2-year battle with leukemia.

Charlotte was born November 6, 1932 in South Gate, CA.  She attended South Gate High School, graduating with the summer class of 1950.  In Southern California she worked in accounting and purchasing departments at American Pipe & Construction Co., which became Ameron, and Etiwanda Steel, and later for John Wood Trucking, Inc. when she moved to Oregon in 1977.

In 1952 Charlotte married the love of her life, Bob “Lefty” Robinson.  Their marriage, of 56 years, ended unexpectedly when Bob passed away in October 2008. 

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents Arnold Pohlman and Mona Melba Pohlman-Neal and her half-brother Michael Neal.  She is survived by sister & husband Joan & Dennis Schimke, sister-in-law and husband Carole and Gary Parker, and by her children, Robert Robinson & wife Robin Lee, Daniel Robinson & wife Thames, Jody & her husband Scott Traina, Jon Robinson & wife Kelly.  She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, Laurel, Daniel, Douglas, Elizabeth, Virginia, William, Catherine, Michael, Nichole, Ryan, Jenna, Allison, Lauren, Caroline, four great-grandchildren and her half-brother Gary Pohlman.

Charlotte was a member of the Grants Pass Duplicate Bridge Club for 30 years.  In her lifetime she enjoyed reading, gardening, golf and socializing with her many friends and family.  She will be deeply missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Memorial services will be held January 17, 2009 in Grants Pass, OR.
