11-17-08...
Hello class of S-1964!  We had many members of that class, so I 'm sure I did not all of you.  BUT! I'm sure you knew me, for I was involved in baseball, 3 Varsity Letters, Track, 2 Varsity Letters, Basketball, 1 Varsity Letter. 
 
Would like to hear from my teammates so do write to me.  Did 4years in the Air Force, 1 in support of Vietnam, we flew B-52's.  66-70, upon release I did go back to So. Gate, was married, had 1 son, then left for MN.  Had 2 more sons, then a divorce.
 
Was a Prison worker for 8 years, ran my own Cell Block, 551 inmates, then child support hit me again, but was very unfair, so I left the Prison, got into sales.  But I founded a group of parents who were up in arms over support and we called ourselves R-KIDS, Remember Kids In Divorce, it was 1984 and it still runs today.
 
At 50 I did have my 1st stroke, but did recover, then 4 years later was hit again, did not recover well, but I do get around fairly good, walk with a cane, and lost my voice.  Married to my 3rd wife, live in CT. But I still compete, I'm involved with the VA National Golden Age Games, 5 years now, and love it.

4-21-08... I’m Barbara Willis Raymond, graduate of Huntington Park High School. I attended State Street School and about half of our classmates went on to South Gate while the rest, like me, went to HP..    I’m hoping to find a Linda Glines (not sure of spelling) who was one who went to SG and may have graduated from SG in 1956.  Most of all, I hope to find her via married name.  I realize this is a pretty big request, but if you have any suggestions or ideas for me, I’d appreciate hearing from you,

My original posting, (10/25/03) I was searching for two people.  I have been in contact with JoAnn Johnson for some time now.  I am still looking for Bonnie Stewart.  I lived on Katella.   If I had not moved, I would have graduated with the class of 57. 1-20-08....   The class of summer '60 is currently planning their 50th reunion party. It is tentatively set for spring of 2010. We hope to hear from all classmates (almost 500). We would like to make our 50th a grand celebration.

1-4-08..First, congratulations on your website.  I was a South Gate resident until the end of my 7th grade.  Our new home in Long Beach was completed by then.  It has been fun to browse your "site" and see many old Bryson and JGJH friends. Some you might be able to help me find are Bob Wright (went with Judy Carlin), or any of his brothers.

   After graduating L. B. Poly in '57,  I attended L. B. City College.  It was a pleasure to be "frat brothers" of Bob Fernald, Art Alviso, Ken Putnam, and Ron Adams.  Bob and I spent a lot of time together double-dating, parties, etc.  I was sorry to see that he had passed away, and also Art.

It was just by chance I went to the message board and saw the request by Gary Drollinger to find Bob Wright.
We had several e-mails back and forth. I called the wife of my deceased friend Kirk Dolan and she had the info that Gary was looking for which I forworded to him.
I was Bobs "best man" 50 years ago. They had lost track of me and I missed their celebration party.
Maybe next time.
