Marjorie (Hooser)
Sutton, 76, died June 30, 2009, in Gardnerville, NV. Sutton was born
Oct. 7, 1932, in Kansas City, KS, moved with her family to southern
California, and married Mr. Brown. The couple had four children and
moved around as Mr. Brown served in the Navy. They were divorced in
1959. In 1967 she married Willie Sutton who also served in the Navy.
They moved to Exeter, CA in 1973, and then to Battle Ground in 1978.
Willie and Marjorie moved to Nevada in 1996. Marjorie Sutton was a
member of the Battle Ground Ladies of Elks and was named Lady Elk of
the Year in 1994-95. She enjoyed pastel, oil and China painting. She
also enjoyed flower gardening. Sutton was preceded in death by son
Ian Brown in 1978, and brother Robert Hooser. Her sister Laura
Lowrey died July 12, 2009. Survivors include husband Willie Sutton
of Gardnerville, NV, son Derek Brown of Soap Lake, daughters Erin
Crinion of Hawaii and Kim Danner of Vancouver, sisters Betty Brown
of Vancouver and Barbara Hooser of Nevada, brother Pete Hooser of
Michigan, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several
nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held at the Sutton home
in Gardnerville, NV
